Summit County’s Largest Locally Owned Pet Supply Store

How It All Started

A&A Pet Supply and Feed originally began as Elk Mountain Trading Company in 2006. Over the years, the store has undergone several changes, with the largest being a name change and major remodel in 2012. Throughout the years, one crucial thing has always remained the same: the personal touch and attentive customer service that comes with having our store family run. We constantly strive to be the best pet supply store in Summit County.

The Best Selection of Pet Supplies and Feed

When new customers come into the store, the first thing they always say is how much bigger the store is than it appears from the outside (like the Tardis in Dr. Who). After spending some time perusing the store, customers will often say our store is one of the best pet stores that they have been in with the most unique selection of supplies for their pets. We have to agree. Since 2006 we’ve been Summit County’s largest locally owned pet supply store. Through years of experience working with customers and their pets (as well as our own), we’re certain we have the best selection of products and supplies for Colorado’s High County pets. From elk antlers, dog coats and boots to premium dog and cat foods and outdoor gear for dogs, we have what you never even knew you needed for your pets.

Most Knowledgeable Staff and Best Customer Service

A&A Pet Supply prides itself on product knowledge and customer service. We want you to leave our store with all of the knowledge that you need to ensure you are giving your pet all of the best food, treats, toys or supplements that they need. If you are looking for a new food for your pet, we will spend time with you to make sure that you have the knowledge you need to make an informed decision. There are so many options available in diets for dogs and cats, and we educate ourselves on all of the foods that we carry as well as other options in the market. We encourage our customers to come to us with their problems and questions and love to hear how our advice had helped pets and people alike. A&A Pet Supply prides itself on having a knowledgeable and friendly staff that is there to help you with any questions or issues that you may have with your pets. We encourage you to bring your pet into the store so that we can shower them with love.

Sarah

Owner

Since 2006 Sarah has managed her family's pet shop, A&A Pet Supply. She grew up skiing in Summit County and moved back to the county full-time in 2003. Relentlessly focused on excellence in service, she believes the best way to provide product advice is to treat you and your pets like her own family. Along those lines, the best way to recommend a product is to use them all and provide thoroughly transparent reviews. Sarah and her kids have 2 dogs, 2 cats and a guinea pig. Jessie and Daisy are the shop dogs, who hang out most days and love customer attention (plus the occasional stolen treat). Her cats, Mickey and Lucy, try out every cat food that comes through the shop. To ensure her customers are comfortable with the foods they choose, Sarah has extensive knowledge of pet food nutrition and invests significant time to train her employees to be similarly well educated. Sarah often says her career involves serving as part-time nutritionist, behaviorist, counselor and vet tech. She’ll tell you that the best part of her job is the people. In reality, it’s probably puppies - those irresistibly cute job hazards who cause work stoppage for cuddles. After 11 years managing the shop, every day brings new surprises, and Sarah loves coming to work every day more than the last. When not running the shop, she is busy with her 2 kids, Abigail and Adam, who served as inspiration for the store’s renaming in 2012.
